In the United States alone, trampolines cause about 100000 injuries every year. From 2002 to 2011, more than 1 million people in the United States were admitted to emergency rooms. To make matters worse, 93% of trampoline injuries occur in children under the age of 16, and one in 200 children will cause permanent nerve injury.
Many injuries could have been avoided if children jumped on a safer trampoline. This is why safety is the primary feature of trampoline. Of course, quality, rebound and fun factors are also important. If you want to get all this in less than four figures, my favorite is Skywalker trampoline. The price of this trampoline is just right. It is well constructed, has a variety of sizes, and has innovative safety functions. I especially like the patented shell design.
Skywalker meets all safety standards. However, if you are still nervous and can afford the investment of the highest quality trampoline designed for extra safe jumping, I suggest you buy a springless trampoline.
How does trampoline evaluate?
Each trampoline was evaluated according to five criteria. In descending order: safety, quality, price, rebound, diversity of size and shape. As you may have noticed, the biggest factor here is safety - and for good reason: nearly 100000 American children are injured in trampoline related accidents every year.
It is important to note that the shell network tends to decay over time, so please ask the company how often you want to replace the network. (springfree may provide the best network.) While buying a trampoline, you may want to buy (or consider buying) a second net. There are two main reasons why it is important to connect the fence to the platform mat.
The first reason is that sometimes when a jump jumper falls down, the foam pad moves, and the limbs may (and have) been stuck by the springs of trampoline. The second reason is that if the housing is not properly connected, the jumper may fall from the side and completely fly out of the trampoline. This happens when a jumper hits the safety net and finally falls into the space between the safety net and the jump shot pad - from there, the jumper finally falls on the floor (or grass or concrete).
As we mentioned earlier, due to aging, you need to replace the trampoline net every few months (or every year, for some brands). This decay is not always obvious, but it usually exists. How did this happen? Just like your pants (or your child's pants) sometimes tear your knees. Fabric is not perfect.
When you put too much pressure on it, it is often exposed to harsh environment for too long, and it will become fragile. A jump is too fast and may break. This has happened and will happen in the future. It is important to know how long your trampoline net can be used and how long the warranty period is, and replace it before it rots to unsafe.
