I have played for people of all shapes and sizes and I love bringing the harp to people who may not have seen the harp before. I'm passionate about demonstrating the versatility of the harp, to change people's preconceptions, playing music you might not expect to hear on the harp.

 

As a full time musician, composer & arranger, I specialise in arranging more unusual and upbeat music for the harp, in particular, rock, reggae and jazz, exploring new sounds for the harp.

 

I have developed my own unique repertoire of arrangements over the years, including: Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Bob Marley, Metallica, Massive Attack, Dire Straits, Dave Brubeck, Led Zeppelin & Guns n' Roses!

 

I love being an interactive part of the entertainment, and one of my favourite moments to date was having a little boy break dancing around me whilst I was playing Jimi Hendrix!

 

I have performed internationally with artists including Nigel Kennedy, and I am an active part of the music scene which has deeply enriched my palette of sounds. (See news page for more information).

 

I lead my own band the TORI HANDSLEY - Band with Mercury Prize nominee Moses Boyd and Ruth Goller, releasing my debut album 'As We Stand' on Cadillac Records November 2020. I have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Purcell Room, Ronnie Scotts, Dingwalls, Vortex and the Queen Elizabeth Hall. I have also studied with guitarists and piano players, to develop new sounds and techniques for the harp.

 

I am currently the recommended harpist for: Blenheim Palace, Highclere Castle (Downtown Abbey), Hedsor House, The Ashmolean, Oxford University, Bodleian Library, Exeter College, Caswell House, Waddesdon Dairy, Tythe Barn, Eynsham Hall, Missenden Abbey, Taplow House. I have performed for numerous Prime Ministers, The Duke Of Marlborough & Jo Frogatt, amongst others.
